Easy Slow Cooker Cola Roast

Place a beef roast into a slow cooker.

Sprinkle a packet of onion soup over the roast.

Pour a can of cola over the top of the roast. Add the chili sauce on top of the roast. Place the lid on and slow cook on low for 8-9 hours or high for 4-5 hours.

Shredded beef served on a wooden board, garnished with fresh parsley and drizzled with BBQ sauce.

Shred the cooked beef and serve as is, on a bun or add a little BBQ sauce like I did.

Ingredients

  • 1 – 3# to 5# roast (chuck roast shreds the easiest I have found, however, any will do)
  • 1 – 2 oz packet of dry onion soup mix
  • 1 – 12 oz can of cola (don’t use diet)
  • 1 – 12 oz bottle of chili sauce

Directions

  1. Place a beef roast into a slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle a packet of onion soup over the roast.
  3. Pour a can of cola over the top of the roast and the chili sauce on top of the roast. Place the lid on and slow cook on low for 8-9 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  4. Shred the cooked beef and serve as is or add a little BBQ sauce like I did. It was delicious as a sandwich or eat as is.
