I made these for my grandkids. If I would have had more time I would have decorated them with icing and added leaves. My husband was walking out the door to pick up my granddaughter from a football game so it saved me a trip dropping them off then. Use your imagination and have fun decorating or leave them just like this.
Place waxed paper on the counter near the stovetop.
In a large heavy bottom pot, over low heat, melt the butter.
Pour the marshmallows in the pot and stir.
Quickly add the food coloring and stir constantly.
Stir until the marshmallows melt completely and the food coloring is thoroughly mixed in.
Add the Rice Krispies and toss with a large spoon until combined.
Once you can touch them, spray your hands with cooking spray and form the Rice Krispies into the shape of a pumpkin, they can be different sizes. Stick a Combo into the top for the stem and squeeze the Rice Krispies around the Combo. Make sure the Rice Krispies have set up some first or they will fall apart. Keep squeezing them into the shape until they are completely set, moving from one to the next one and repeat. This can be messy and definitely not for the little kids to do.
